Our Beliefs:

We believe that Jesus Christ is a risen and living Lord who is extending his Kingdom through the world inviting people to enter into a relationship with him so they can receive eternal life and the power to change through the Holy Spirit which he gives to all who come to him. We are a member of the Candian National Baptist Convention.

Our Commitments (Core Values):

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

We invite you to join with us as we follow Jesus in fulfilling his mission by committing to love God, love our brothers and sisters, and love our neighbors and other nations. Each commitment has three habits to develop as the Spirit leads you.

LOVE OUR GOD BY OBEYING

We commit to love God with all our hearts; to make every effort to consistently obey God by getting rid of selfishness and everything that holds us back. God is searching the earth to empower those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. Our first commitment is to love God by obeying everything that He commands as the Spirit leads us.

LISTENING: We will read the Bible daily to know what Gods commands so we can obey them.  When we remember a scripture in prayer or understand a truth in bible study, we will write it down and ask God how to apply it.

ABIDING: We will walk in the Spirit and when we do not, we will admit it and turn quickly back to God. The evidence of the Spirit is love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, gentleness, commitment, self-control, and doing good.

PRAYING: We will be accountable to obey God and pray together weekly. We are free from sin.  We will pray and find accountability partners to help us overcome sin. The prayers of an obedient man are effective and accomplish much.

LOVE OUR BROTHERS BY SERVING

We commit to love those around us like Jesus who laid down his life for everyone. Jesus said that anyone who really believes in him would do what he did and he gave us a new command to love one another as he loved us.
Our second commitment is to love each other by sharing our time and resources to meet every genuine need.

CONNECTING: We will love each other by weekly spending time sharing life with brothers and sisters in God’s family in a weekly small group where we study the Bible, pray together, serve together, and enjoy times of fellowship.

SERVING: We will use our lives to help others by serving in a ministry team. God owns everything and everything we have is a gift from God, so we will generously share our time and possessions with those who need it.

FORGIVING: In a conflict, we will try to resolve it by going to our brother first, then asking mature Christians to help us reconcile, and finally bringing it to the group if we can’t resolve the conflict, to make every effort to maintain unity.

LOVE OUR WORLD BY GOING

We commit to love our world by going and living our faith among people, not waiting for them to come to us. Jesus commanded us to go tell everyone that God loves them and teach everyone to love each other as he commanded.
Our third commitment is to love all people by multiplying and filling our world with people who obey and serve.

TELLING: We will pray for opportunities to weekly share God’s love and be a good friend imitating Jesus who was a friend of "sinners”. We will do community service projects and go on missions trips.

INVESTING: We will invest our finances through generous giving to expanding Gods Kingdom by supporting projects and workers who are making disciples. God owns everything and promises to supply all our needs as we freely give.

MULTIPLYING: Go fill the Earth by disciples making disciples, groups starting groups, and churches starting churches. Leaders will imitate Moses and Jesus by reproducing themselves by training new leaders to do what they are doing.

As we fulfill all these commitments by the Spirit’s leading and power, we are engaging in spiritual warfare advancing the Kingdom of God. The enemy will tempt us to try to stop the work of the Sprit through us. We will encourage each other to fulfill these commitments and keep any struggles shared confidential to protect their dignity. If God leads us to move away from this church, we will find another like-minded church as soon as possible where we will fulfill these commitments.
